If you could re-release K&Q...

Postby Lips » Thu Feb 18, 2010 5:44 pm

If you could release kings & queens again with 12 tracks from the 2 year time he spent recording songs, what songs would you pick?

you can pick 12 songs because there are 12 tracks on the itunes version of the album

here's what you can pick...

368
Hocus Pocus
Sticks 'n' Stones
The Man's Machine
Emily's Heart
Chaka Demus
Spider's Web
Castro Dies
Earth, Wind & Fire
British Intelligence
Jilly Armeen
Fire Fire
Running Round The Town
Direction Home
The Curious Sound
The King and his Troubador
Jenny Can Rely On Me
Man Not A Monster
Believing In Things That Can't Be Done
Emily's heart (alt version)
St Christopher
On the Green
The Dance of the Young Professionals
Forgot Me Not (The Love I Knew Before I Grew)
Planning Spontaneity
When They Are Gone (For Tim)
If I were a boy
Atlantic City

My selection would be

1. fire fire
2. dance of the young..
3. man not a monster
4. jenny can rely..
5. 368
6. sticks n stones
7. castro dies
8. british..
9. jilly..
10. when they are gone..
11. direction home
12. the man's machine

i perfer a lot more of the songs on the EP than on the album, so i'd have more of a punk selection

what'd you have?

Actually I would keep Q&K the way it is and I'll keep the EP's as they are too.

Because I believe the album is chosen in a logical way and the songs fit together.
I don't think you should put any other songs between them. :)
But hey, I might be wrong :)
It's okay :)

i wouldnt put them in this order, cause i just copied the list and deleted what i didnt want
but yeah that would be a quality album, lots of variation, his EPs tend to show off his stuff thats not really like indie-by-numbers, his acoustic stuff and more punky things

yeah, sticks n stones was definitely the best ep, chaka demus was probably the weakest, i dont particularly like that song, or any of the others on it bar when they are (for tim) which is quality
the mans machine ep was alright, but im not sure he had enough good material to release 3 really good EPs, he could of done 2 definitely

Yeah I love that song by Florence and I thought the remix was even better than the original. As i said i picked the 12 songs i liked most they probably wouldnt really compliment each other as an album though.
